The shortest way to compare is to run one article
Most comparison pages are written by the winner. These are too, so read them with that in mind — but they are written to a rule: no claim about another product that we could not read on that product's own public pages, and no price we could not verify. Where a fact was unreadable, the table says so instead of guessing.
The honest summary across all five is this. PrismDraft is narrow. It does one thing: it takes your website, proposes article topics with a keyword and a search intent, settles an outline with you before any prose, writes the article section by section with an image for each, and holds the result in review until a person approves it. Then it publishes to WordPress, Ghost, Webflow or Shopify.
The things it does not do are not oversights. It does not search the web, research a topic, check facts or add citations; if a claim needs a source it was not given, the claim is left out. It does not report search volume or keyword difficulty, because it has no source for those numbers. It does not track rankings or promise traffic. Several of the tools below do some of that, and where they do, the comparison says so.
The pricing shape differs from most of them too. Runs are priced in credits — two per started thousand words of article in Premium writing, one in Standard, one per image — quoted before a run starts, reserved while it runs, and settled when it ends. A run that fails is free. A typical 1,200-word article with three images costs about 7 credits.
Questions
Which comparison should I read first?
If you are currently writing in a chat window, read the ChatGPT one: it names the parts you are doing by hand. If you already pay for an SEO platform, read the Surfer one. If you are weighing volume, read Koala or Byword.
Are these comparisons kept up to date?
They were written against each vendor's public pages in October 2026 and they state that date on the page. Products in this category change monthly; if a row is wrong, write to us and we will correct it.
Do you compare on price?
Only where a price is published and unambiguous, and never in the tables, because prices move faster than pages do. PrismDraft's own prices are on the pricing page in euros, with VAT not applicable.
What is the one thing PrismDraft does that the others do not?
It refuses to publish an article nobody approved. Everything else on these pages is a matter of degree; that one is a rule the product enforces.
Can I try it without a card?
Every new account starts with free credits, enough for a couple of complete articles with their images, and no card is asked for at sign-up.
